What an anniversary for Howard Stern. The King Of All Media celebrated his first year on Sirius Satellite radio today not with a blowout bash complete with John Cougar Mellencamp and chess lessons from Boris Spassky. Just another day of great radio, a breakfast that they couldn't attend, and a little cake celebration.
To top it all off Howard also takes home 22 million+ shares of SIRI for exceeding subscriber numbers that were set forth in his contract. It is obvious that Howard and Sirius are having an effect on regular radio and have almost met XM is subscriber base. SIRI outsold XM by more than 2 to 1 in Q4, and this is the trend you can expect to continue.
