Spring is in the air...

60 degree temps today. Was able to eat lunch in my car with the windows down while listening to a Red Sox spring training game... After downing a turkey wrap I had time to recline the seat and close my eyes and take a little power nap. It was the first day you could do something like that in these parts in months.

Must be spring because I had my fantasy baseball draft on Monday night, yahoo was nice enough to grant me the first pick of the draft and I promptly picked Albert Pujols. Hopefully this doesn't mirror the past football season where I had the first pick and went with Shaun Alexander rather that Tomlinson and I paid for it dearly. I like the way the draft shook out as my lineup looks as follows:

C- Ramon Hernadez
1B- Albert Pujols
2B- Julio Lugo
SS- Freddy Sanchez
3B- Garrett Atkins
OF- Juan Pierre
OF- Grady Sizemore
OF- Eric Byrnes
OF- Matt Murton
DH- Nick Swisher

And a decent backup corps including Mike Lowell, Ty Winnington, Jose Guillen and Nick Markakis.

The pitching isn't half bad either as I took Dice-K as my first pitcher.

SP- Daisuke Matsuzaka
SP- Josh Beckett
SP- Jeremy Bonderman
SP- Ted Lilly
SP- Kenny Rogers
RP- Joe Nathan
RP- Octavio Dotel
RP- Cla Meredith
RP- Chad Qualls

This was a rather established competitive group so it seems like it should be a competitive season.

And to add a little more spring to the mix I just did an NCAA bracket over on yahoo as well. I've probably watched 30 minutes of college basketball all year, but is cool that Holy Cross is in the tourney since I now live about 3 miles from their campus...

So I spent under 5 minutes total on the bracket and ended up with:

A Final Four of:

Florida vs. UCLA
North Carolina vs. Louisville

And then Florida beating Louisville in the NCAA title game.
