So about a month ago I noticed that there was a Michael DeFeo flower painted on the old Providence Fruit & Produce Warehouse near the mall. I have to credit Crystal for snapping these fine pictures while sitting in the passenger seat on the overpass.
DeFeo painted his first flower in NYC in 1994 and since has traveled the world planting flowers with paint along with many other types of street art including stencils, stickers, wheatpasting and the like. DeFeo has also exhibited all over the US and Europe.
This piece in Providence is a great example of his work as this flower is truly blooming in a derelict wasteland.
