Home Inspection Day

Went to Worcester this morning for the home inspection on the condo. This was pretty much the make or break day. We had not seen the place in a few weeks and hoped that the owner had taken care of some of the finish work that was yet to be completed since we had been their last.

The inspection pretty much went off without a hitch, the guy was very detailed and a bit long winded, so it made for quite a long morning especially considering the fact that I didn't have a chance to stop for a coffee. Anyway, the owner had taken care of some things, but there are still a few details here and there that need to be worked on. Everything is pretty much cosmetic at this point though. The inspector pretty much eased our fears about any deep and lurking problems with the structure, foundation, roof etc and it just seems to be a matter of the owner getting his balls into gear and banging out the finish work that needs to be completed before the close.

So everything seems to be right on track. Purchase and sale agreeement early next week and the target of a Dec. 21 close date.

After the inspection Crystal and I had some Mexican for lunch at Moe's, which included a pitcher of frozen Margarita. After lunch we both decided it would be best to call into work and turn the half day off into a full day off. I was psyched as I ended up getting my bosses voicemail and didn't even have to talk to anyone directly!

So now I am just maxin and relaxin a bit, but I have to go to the denist in a while and then I am swinging down to Fall River to chill with the parents for a bit and watch Survivor before heading back home.

Sorry I have been neglecting the blog and the internets, but with the addition of the second job and all that has been going on as of late my time has been at a premium.
