And the best pie I have ever had in my life is at Motorino, which is about a 4 minute walk up the street.

It is clear via the numerous trash postings that it is getting to you...and there is no question that you took a huge gamble moving where you did and hoping for the path to urban renewal moving along quicker than it has....is it Woo you have to get away from cause you have lost confidence in the change we keep hearing about?
Paulie (and all), Well I am moving for love first and foremost, but I was able to get an internal transfer with my company from Canton, MA to Manhattan.
I bought the condo at the top in the summer of 2007 and there is no way that I could afford to stay there on my own, nor was there any reason to.
Moving into that area was certainly a gamble and one that did not pay off. But oh well what can you do. It was a learning experience for sure.
The condo will be going up as a short sale soon-ish. I am just so overjoyed to be moving in with a fabulous woman, in one of the most amazing cities in the world and the opportunities that can unfold from here.
Sorry to see you leave, but am happy that you will be happy with the woman you love. I am also sorry that your experience here was not positive. There are many people, myself included, who feel you brought a lot to the table in the form of a different set of eyes and your insightful comments. There was a very real perception that bi-racial was much worse for the white than it was for the person of color.
